I am a passionate counselor licensed in New Jersey who is driven in working with individuals who have a desire to make lasting change in their lives, improve their mental health and wellness and to be the version of themselves they may not have even imaged. I have had extensive training in several evidence based treatment models such Prolonged Exposure therapy for PTSD, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. I utilize empirically supported practices to address mental health issues such as: adjustment concerns, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, impulse control, emotion dysregulation and relationship issues. ​ I am also a certified yoga teacher and utilize this knowledge of eastern philosophy, Ayurveda, meditation and mindful movement in my work with individuals, groups and even couples when appropriate.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During your initial session, we discuss your background and presenting reason(s) for beginning therapy. We will discuss your specific goals, so we understand what the intention of your work will be, along with outing a timeline for treatment. We will further discuss your expectations of me and your therapeutic journey. I will discuss the therapeutic process, and the specific modality and approach I will use tailored to you. Sessions are 50 minutes in length and held weekly, although depending on your treatment plan can also be biweekly. Sessions will be collaborative, and you will consistently leave each session with tangible action items, useful feedback and insight.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked in many diverse settings throughout my career. I am well equipped with evidence based practices to address mental health concerns. I am candid, highly empathetic, relatable and assertive. I believe these characteristics make me an exceptional therapist, but the true test of a good therapist is the feedback they receive from their clients.
