Hi! I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist. I received a bachelors and masters from Florida International University and Post masters from St. Thomas University. I bring extensive training and experience to my practice. I specialize in treating adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety and mood disorders, high conflict relationships, trauma, and grief/loss. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, my primary goal is to establish a safe and welcoming environment where you feel comfortable and understood. We will begin by discussing confidentiality, ensuring you understand that everything shared in our sessions is private and protected. We will start with some introductions, where you can share a bit about yourself and what has brought you to therapy. I will listen with empathy and without judgment, making sure you feel heard and validated. This session is about understanding your needs, concerns, and goals for therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths lie in my ability to create a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment for my clients. Many of my clients report feeling heard and understood during our sessions, which significantly enhances their ability to be introspective. I approach therapy with kindness and acceptance, understanding each individual within the context of their culture, life experiences, and belief systems. My role as a therapist is not to dictate how people should live, but to walk alongside them as they discover their innate strengths and find their own solutions. This collaborative and supportive approach empowers clients to make meaningful and lasting changes in their lives.
