Welcome! I’m Laura Smith and I have been practicing for 15 years in a variety of settings; specializing in Anxiety and Depressive disorders. I support young adults and adults through life’s challenges and transitions with the objective of regaining a sense of self and finding clarity amidst uncertainty. Whether you're navigating school or career challenges, relationship difficulties, or other stressful life events, I’m here to provide you with a safe and non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts and feelings. I will help you learn healthy ways to cope and seek solutions that allow you to move forward with confidence and purpose. In addition, I specialize in Perinatal and Maternal Mental Health and provide compassionate care to women navigating the complexities of fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood. As a professional and mother, I recognize firsthand that life rarely follows a straight path, and the balancing act of motherhood can bring unexpected challenges and stress. * Additional availability coming this summer! What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
My primary goal is to create a safe environment for you to feel empowered throughout the therapeutic journey. In our initial session I will gather relevant background information, current concerns, and discuss what you are looking to achieve so that we can collaborate together on goals for treatment. Throughout our work together, we’ll work towards building connections in your life and learn strategies for self-care and healing.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I believe that each day is a new beginning and an opportunity to learn and grow. There are many situations in life that are unexpected and out of our control; my role is to be a guide and help people through these difficult times so that you may gain a sense of peace and positivity in your life.
