Hello! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in North Carolina. I received my Masters from Simmons University and have been practicing for 6 years. I want to honor your courage and curiosity in taking this next step towards bettering your mental health. Life can bring waves of transition, many wonderful and empowering; others more difficult, scary, and confusing. I specialize and enjoy partnering with individuals to provide support and explore ways to improve quality of life for all through transitions such as (and not limited to) retirement, end of life, bereavement, change in independence, career exploration, caregiver stress, medical diagnosis, identity, and separation/divorce and the varied accompanying mental health symptoms (depression, anxiety, isolation, poor self-care). I offer a holistic and person-centered approach embracing empowerment, narratives, and strengths to rebalance joy and fulfillment as life transitions.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first therapy session, you can anticipate a non-judgmental, collaborative, and mindful approach. We will start with brief introductions, review informed consent, and then dive into specific challenges you’re facing. We will work collaboratively to create a tailored plan with goals and develop a strategy for follow-up sessions. Confidentiality: Your privacy and confidentiality are of the utmost importance. I strictly adhere to ethical guidelines and legal requirements to ensure your information remains secure and confidential.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
