My name is Caryl Cabrera. I am a licensed LCPC in the State of Maryland. I have been practicing for over 10 years, working with a many different diagnosis and needs. I worked in different capacities. I provided psychiatric rehabilitation (PRP) services for individuals with severe and persistent mental health diagnosis. I was a Supervisor at a non-profit for a case management team for over 7 years. This is where I have extensive experience in working with individuals with anxiety, low self-esteem, poor boundaries and difficulties forming relationships. I was one of the main presenters for Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and used these methods and techniques in my everyday work and practice. I am an Approved LCPC Supervisor in Maryland. I have provided a number of Licensed Graduate Professional Counselors (LGPC) with the supervision hours they needed to fulfill their requirements to obtain their LCPC. I have special training in Perinatal Mood Disorders and Mental Health. This training is a focus on the well-being of mothers as a whole, while also paying specific attention to her mental health as she moves along the journey of motherhood from conception to the Fourth Trimester. I feel this group of both fathers and mothers are one of the most overlooked and under-supported group, during a time in their lives when they REALLY need it. Much attention is given to the mothers during pregnancy and during the times before giving birth, but a lot of that support and attention disappears and shifts to the baby once delivery happens.

Hello and welcome! My name is Barbara and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) based in Frederick County, Maryland. I received my Masters in Clinical Social Work (with a minor in Program Administration) from the University of Maryland in Baltimore in 2001 and have been in private practice for 10 plus years. Before starting my own practice, I previously worked in in-patient, intensive out-patient, out-patient, crisis center and EAP settings. Currently, I provide telehealth therapy to adult women ages 18-70 years old experiencing depression, anxiety, burnout from career, family responsibilities, and relationships, problems in their marriage, family or personal life, chronic health/medical issues that impact mental health, and trauma from current or past experiences. I also work with women dealing with fertility issues, complicated pregnancy, infant loss, premature delivery, and post partum mental health and adjustment issues. I currently do not provide therapy to men.

I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. Therefore, my role is to assist you in finding solutions that benefit you in the best way possible. My area of focus is working with teens and adults on stress, anxiety, and depression. My highest priority as a therapist is cultivating a space for you, the client, to feel safe, supported, and unconditionally accepted. I have been doing therapy for 24 years and am passionate and committed to supporting others on their healing journey. My clinical approach is person-centered first and foremost, while incorporating cognitive-behavioral and motivational interviewing methods to focus on your goals and motivations, and target what solutions are most effective and appropriate for you. As a licensed clinical social worker and fellow human, I know the importance of telling your story in a safe space. You need to feel heard, supported, and seen, and you need to allow the courageous healing process to take place. You need to let out what you have been holding in, laugh, cry, feel, and express all your emotions to celebrate your strengths and personal growth. Therapy takes commitment and willingness to show up and be your true self in a safe and supportive way. If you are ready to do the work to make the changes and feel better, I am looking forward to starting a professional working relationship with you. Best Sabra
