Hi there! I’m a white, neurodivergent, nonbinary lesbian therapist. I’m LGBTQIA2S+ celebrating, trauma-focused, and social justice-oriented. Using an anti-oppressive lens, my work is informed by movements in anti-racism, queer theory, liberation psychology, anti-capitalism, and disability justice. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I provide queer and trans focused telehealth psychotherapy in California. Outside of work I love organizing in my community, art, music, and relaxing with my loved ones. My two cats Honey and Hazy always hangout in my home office!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Each session you can show up just as you are. You may join feeling grief, joy, panic, rage, shame, hope, panic, exhaustion, etc. There is room for all of it here! During the first session we'll take a gentle approach and go over confidentiality, and discuss your current stressors and goals for therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I'm here to meet you where you're at! I can guide you to take the lead in sessions, and other times you may prefer I direct the conversation toward processing, coping, or change. My style is warm, flexible, and laid back. We may also share moments of humor where appropriate. I welcome feedback and take your vulnerability and time seriously. I'm open to any accommodations and accessibility requests. I provide handouts, links, and book recommendations to reinforce topics covered in sessions.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

An attachment-based approach relates to our early childhood relationships, and looking into how they shape our adult emotional patterns. The goal is to understand your attachment history, and develop healthier ways of coping, while working on emotional regulation and healthy relationships.

Gender-affirming therapy

Whether you already identify under the trans umbrella or are still exploring what your gender means to you, we can discuss it all! I have experience writing surgery support letters for gender affirming care to outline your history of gender dysphoria, and participation in therapy.

Trauma Informed Care

We'll explore the various interconnected systems of oppression that worsen your stress, and identify areas within your control. We'll examine factors like family dynamics, marginalized identities, and disability to illuminate the areas of your life being affected by trauma.

Strength-Based

This approach focuses on harnessing your innate strengths and resources available to you. We'll emphasize building on existing capabilities to facilitate growth and resilience. The goal is to build up your self-esteem, and navigate life with more confidence.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

We'll prioritize the therapeutic relationship and your individualized process of growth and change. I offer empathy, acceptance, and genuine understanding. This creates a judge free environment for you to be human and process. The goal is to empower you to gain self-awareness and discover your own values and goals.
