I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over twenty years experience in both the macro and clinical areas of counseling through leading successful therapeutic programs and advising on crisis management; and in practice by specializing in trauma, anxiety, multicultural issues, and behavioral issues. I work to ensure that resources to clients are accessible and that clients feel supported while navigating the journey to healing.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients can expect a therapeutic environment that is compassionate, empathetic, and safe.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked in community-based settings most of my career, I have developed a solid understanding of how best to identify the root cause of your challenges and create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress in a finite amount of time while utilizing community resources to assist in your healing journey.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy combines cognitive therapy with behavior therapy by identifying maladaptive patterns of thinking, emotional responses, or behaviors and replacing them with more desirable patterns.

Interpersonal

Interpersonal therapy (IPT) focuses on your current relationships, how they might be affecting your depression symptoms, and ways that you can improve your interactions and your mental health.

Reality Therapy

Reality therapy is an approach to psychotherapy that views all behaviors as choices. It is based on a concept called "choice theory", which says that humans only have five basic needs, all of which are genetically driven and can't be changed. The choice theory dictates that people, at their core, are trying to satisfy five basic needs.
