Welcome! I'm Lori Pollard, a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to guiding individuals on their path to restoration, healing, and self-discovery. I would like to help you navigate through life's challenges, including coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices while creating a safe and non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I tailor sessions to meet the unique needs and goals of my clients. Whether you are seeking support for managing stress, healing from past trauma, improving relationships, or finding clarity and purpose in life, I'm here to help you on your journey. Together, we will work towards resiliency, promoting growth, restoring hope in the future, and empowering you to lead a more fulfilling life.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In the first sessions of counseling, which typically lasts about an hour and a half, you can expect a warm and welcoming atmosphere where you'll have the opportunity to share your story, concerns, and goals in a confidential setting. You will have a chance to talk about what brings you to counseling, including any specific issues or challenges that you are facing. I might ask some questions that gain a better understanding of your background, current situation, and what you hope to achieve through counseling. Together, we will start to establish a trusting and collaborative relationship. By the end of the first session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of the issues we will begin to work on and have a sense of connection with your therapist. Please remember, counseling is a journey, and the first session is just the beginning of your path towards healing and growth.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My greatest strengths lie in my extensive experience working with people, coupled with a deep insight into life's challenges and heartaches. I offer empathy and compassion, providing a safe environment where individuals can find hope and begin the journey toward restoration. Together, we'll navigate life's twists and turns, empowering you to continue forward with renewed strength and purpose.
