My focus as a therapist has been helping clients challenge experienced traumas and working to find inner peace and healing. Treatment goals are focused on developing a better understanding of the self as a person and role in society. Clients often come to treatment seeking stability and consistency in their journey and are open to a two-way dialogue regarding their needs.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I can assist by providing individualized, trauma-informed treatment. I utilize cognitive processing therapy to help identify stuck points that interfere with day-to-day living. I offer a reflective listening style and will challenge my clients to think critically. My style is direct but warm and supportive. This is a judgment-free space focused on change.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel my strongest feature as a clinician is my focus on conversation. While skills are important to develop as a clinician, the dialogue is equally as important. I provide a safe space for my clients by offering nonjudgmental feedback and insight. Opening yourself up as a client is not easy and I offer what I sought out in my treatment: a place of acceptance and healing.

My treatment methods

Existential

Existential mindset is the foundation of my practice. I firmly believe that what matters most to us in our lives is what gets us to make great change. I use this mindset to help you identify what brings your life meaning and shape into actions.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Cognitive processing therapy is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy focused on trauma. This 12-session protocol will be used to address presenting problems such as intense emotions, unhelpful thinking patterns, social disruption, and other trauma symptoms that prevent daily functioning and peace.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing is a style I incorporate into all sessions. This focuses on leaning into the motivators that help encourage change and understanding you in a nonjudgmental way. This is why sessions focus on my clients being the pilot and myself the navigator.
