Let ME help YOU unpack... your emotional baggage and lighten your load. As Erykah Badu sings in her powerful song, "Bag Lady," it's time to let go of all those heavy bags you've been carrying and start fresh. My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, non-judgment, and collaboration. I believe that everyone can heal and grow, and my role as a therapist is to provide a safe and supportive environment to facilitate that process. I have experience working with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship issues, self-esteem, family conflict and life transitions. I have worked with individuals of all ages and all stages of life. I understand that seeking therapy can be a vulnerable and courageous step, and I commend you for taking that first step. So, let's put those bags down and start the journey towards healing and growth. When booking an appointment, please select a start time at the half hour mark. For example, book your appointment at the :30 minute mark, not at the top of the hour.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our initial session, we'll briefly introduce ourselves, go over your intake details, and dive into the challenges you're experiencing. It is helpful if you come with questions that you have about the therapy process and idea of what you want to accomplish. This process sets the groundwork for us to develop a plan and establish goals that we'll address in subsequent sessions.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My biggest strengths as a therapist include my 9 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and parents, and my ability to assist them with a wide range of mental health concerns. Through my experience, I have developed a deeper understanding of the challenges that individuals and families face, and I have honed my skills in helping them navigate these challenges with compassion, empathy, and evidence-based interventions. Another strength of mine is my ability to connect with individuals on a personal level quickly. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is essential to the success of therapy. I strive to build a strong, supportive, and collaborative relationship with each of my clients. I am a relatable therapist who listens attentively and shows genuine care and empathy.
