I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Texas. I graduated in 2020 from the University of North Texas with my MS in Counseling. I also have a Masters of Divinity from Chicago Theological Seminary. I see counseling as a unified effort between me and you to explore your past, your behaviors, and your thinking patterns in order to make positive changes that benefit you. Depending on your goals, I use many different treatment approaches in order to understand you better and help you become the person you want to be!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will be a broad overview of what brought you to counseling and then a discussion about the goals you want to achieve. From there, we will discuss an approach that we will use together to help you reach those goals!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a counselor are my ability to listen and connect with you, no matter where you are in your life's journey. I truly feel grateful every day that I get to listen to amazing stories from amazing people. Then, we take those amazing stories and make them even better by working to help you get where you want to go next!

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe you are the expert on your own life. My job is to join you on your journey of self-exploration and to work with you to find solutions to difficulties in your life. Along the way, I can provide insights, suggestions based on my experiences, and unconditional support. You and I will work together to understand why certain patterns exist for you and how we can change those. I also use spirituality, in many forms, and dreamwork, if you are interested.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT techniques to help reduce negative thinking patterns that lead to anxiety, depression, and addiction. We can analyze some of your core beliefs and then challenge problematic ones to create healthier thoughts and behaviors. This is a process in which we work to reframe some of the ways you view yourself and the world in order to focus more on the positive and less in the negative.
