Hello! As a licensed therapist (LCPC, LMHC) with over 20 years of experience, I'm passionate about empowering individuals to thrive. I received my MA in Counseling Psychology from Ball State University. Additionally I am certified the in the Neuroscience of Wellbeing and Compassion Fatigue which effects caregivers and healthcare workers. Together, we'll uncover the path to healing, resilience, and the fulfilling life you deserve. If you're ready to flourish, let's start your journey towards lasting change.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Here's what you can expect in our first session: A Focus on You: The first session is all about getting to know you, your concerns, and your goals for therapy. We'll create a safe, non-judgmental space to discuss what brings you in and what you hope to achieve. Questions and Exploration: I'll ask questions to understand your background, current challenges, and what you envision for your future. You're always welcome to share only what feels comfortable. Collaboration: We'll work together to define areas of focus for our work. My goal is to understand your needs and preferences, so we can create a plan that feels supportive and empowering. Paperwork and Logistics: We may spend some time going over necessary forms, discussing confidentiality, and answering any questions you have about the therapy process. Next Steps: Towards the end of our session, we'll discuss potential directions for our work and next steps. You'll have the option to schedule follow-up appointments based on what fits your needs. What the First Session Is Not: -You don't need to have all the answers or even feel fully ready to dive deep. This is a space to start the conversation. -I won't pressure you to share anything you're not comfortable with. Healing happens at its own pace. My Commitment: I'm here to listen with compassion, offer insights, and help you tap into your inner resources to overcome challenges and live a life that feels more meaningful and fulfilling.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I believe my greatest strengths as a provider are a combination of my extensive experience, deep compassion, and a versatile skill set. My 20+ years in the field have given me a nuanced understanding of a wide range of challenges and psychological disorders. This allows me to tailor my approach to each individual's specific needs and goals. At my core, I'm driven by a genuine desire to see people thrive. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel truly heard and understood. It's important to me that individuals feel empowered to tap into their inner strengths and build resilience. Additionally, I've continuously sought out training in various evidence-based modalities, including [list your main ones – CBT, DBT, ACT, etc.]. This allows me to offer a flexible approach and address a broad range of concerns – anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles – with depth and sensitivity. Finally, I'd add that I have a unique ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. I believe everyone deserves access to quality mental health care and strive to create an inclusive and affirming environment for all.
