I am Carlton, a licensed professional counselor honored to be in private practice here in Longview, Texas. I a currently seeing clients in my office on Marshall Avenue as well as via telehealth using a HIPPA compliant platform. Along with being a practicing clinician I also teach psychology at a local university.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Hello to all, I am honored to work in this helping field as I try to bring my training and life experience to assist those individuals that I am fortunate enough to help. let me say to each of you that no matter what you are going through, seeking help is a sign of strength. Should you decide to come to see me our first session will be about me understanding what your goals are in treatment and what you would consider being a successful relationship when your time with me is done.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I am a dialectical behavioral therapist working with people who are struggling with stress, relationship issues, emotion regulation, anxiety, and a host of other human conditions. This life is hard sometimes and as a therapist, I too have had to seek answers that I was not able to find on my own. I hope that those who come to see me are ready to put in the work that is needed to overcome whatever challenges they are facing. I cannot fix the issues that your struggling with but together we can work to uncover what the underlying issues are and develop ways to address and overcome what brought you to therapy

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been told that I am an effective listener and make my clients feel that they are being heard. Our lives are filled with noise and in my space, I try to create an environment of calm that will allow you to gather your thoughts and communicate what it is that you are experiencing.
