Clients my training and background would most benefit are those experiencing difficulty in their relationships with their children, parents, spouses, co-workers or other significant people in their lives; those whose anxiety or depression is holding them back, and those who are willing to work to reach their true potential. I earned my MSW from the University of Illinois at Chicago concentrating in mental health and have helped people in complicated and difficult situations ever since.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

You should expect to take away a sense of having been listened to, heard, and understood in a non-judgmental atmosphere. Clients should expect a partner in developing and refining a plan to get them closer to where they want to be.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I utilize a variety of treatment methods depending on the presenting issues and needs of the client. Methods I use include strengths-based, talk therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My approach to therapy is to seek first to understand your goals, then seek to understand what you believe is holding you back and then seek to put together a workable plan with you to achieve those goals. My strengths include meeting you where you are at the moment, being non-judgemental of you, your life, and what you would like to achieve, and--so long as they don't include hurting yourself or others-- helping you achieve your stated goals rather than what I might think is best for you. If you would like to improve relationships of any kind in your life, build self-confidence, or go after your true potential in work, parenting, or romantic relationships, I want that for you as well and will be on your side.
