Welcome! Are you tired of coping with something painful that happened in the past? Maybe it was childhood trauma, emotional or physical abuse, combat, a car accident, or some other event at work or home that is now causing you to feel anxious, afraid, or alone? You want to be free from these painful memories so you can live in the present instead of an eternal yesterday. You are looking for a therapist who is easy to talk to and can help you heal from the past.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session, I would like to get to know some background information and the symptoms you are experiencing, in addition to answer any questions you may have about the therapy process. We will start with brief introductions, review your intake paperwork, and see if we would be a good fit to work together.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My greatest strengths as a provider are my dedication and passion to helping people identify where they feel stuck and finding new ways to move forward. I believe everyone has strengths and that recovery from the past is possible. While we cannot change the painful things that have happened to us, we can change how the impact of the past continues to sit with us today, and make new goals for tomorrow.
