Hello My name is Kelly Castillo I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with 15 years experience working with families, adults, teens and children. I am here to help you get started on your journey to becoming a better version of yourself whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, self esteem, or relationships problems. I would love to listen and help you get started on making meaningful changes. I have worked in different settings throughout my professional career and hope to help you reach your individual goals. I approach therapy with an authentic and honest approach in order for my clients to feel comfortable and safe. I am trained and certified in different evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy. I tailor therapy treatment to meet your needs. Beginning therapy may feel overwhelming but together we can work through the struggles and learn new coping strategies.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session I will focus on introduction of therapy expectations. You will be able to share specific reasons you are seeking therapy. Based on your current needs we will set goals that will be worked on during follow up therapy sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with many people and have guided them to work on being assertive, learning new ways to practice daily self-care and identifying their strengths to improve their relationships with themselves and others. I worked with all different ages, backgrounds, religions and diversity. I have developed the skills to be flexible to meet my client's needs, be more understanding and help them achieve their personal goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I am trained in CBT and have been utilizing it for a decade to work with clients with different mental health disorders. I will work together with you to teach and use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to improve your overall mental health and mood by modifying negative thought patterns.

Integrative

I use an integrative approach to treatment to tailor it to your needs by using evidence base treatments such as CBT, Trauma focused CBT, seeking safety that treats trauma and substance abuse and Managing Adaptive Practices (MAP) which used different techniques based on your symptoms and needs.
