An Open Mind: Working with diverse populations for past 20+ years, I am aware that it requires for a mental health professional to maintain an open mind regarding different perspectives, beliefs, values, and experiences that may differ from their own backgrounds or worldviews. For me, cultural sensitivity is crucial as well as respecting individual differences in order to effectively connect with each of my client on a deeper level and facilitate positive change through therapy sessions based on their unique needs and circumstances.
