My name is Madiane Perez. I have been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida since 2011. I also hold a Behavior Analysis Certification (BCBA) since 2015. I have worked with different populations in Miami, Florida for the last 14 years. In addition, I have clinical experience in more than one country and a multicultural approach. My educational background is in Clinical Psychology. Although most of my clinical research and experience has been with children and adolescents, I have experience with young adults and adults in general. I have extensively studied and work with anxiety, depression, weight and self-image issues, acculturation and other sensitive areas for adults. Due to my cultural background and life experiences, I am open and sensitive to multiple cultural and educational backgrounds. I have been working with minorities and emigrants in multicultural cities. I am also comfortable treating severe behavioral difficulties for children and adolescents such as ADHD, ODD, ASD and others due to my vast experience in ABA. I am able to combine multiple therapeutic approaches to better address clients' difficulties and help them reach their true potential.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session you will find an open and warm space to share your thoughts, feelings and current challenges. This will allow for us to explore treatment avenues, priorities, and challenges. You will definitely leave this session with a clear picture of what to expect during our time together and you will start receiving coping resources since our first encounter.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My strengths are having an empathic and humanistic style combined with specific and evidenced-based techniques to promote behavioral change and improvement as quickly and effective as possible for the client. I also train skills for my clients to manage their thoughts, behavior, and emotions. I am approachable and warm.
