I am a bilingual (Spanish/English) therapist and licensed clinical social worker in North Carolina. I love working with people from diverse backgrounds, and for that reason, I returned to graduate school after retiring as a teacher and school administrator. I have worked with teens in area schools and also with adult clients in the Latino community. I am committed to providing you with support, compassion, and a safe space to be seen and heard.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
The first session is totally about getting to know each other. I will provide a safe space for you to share your immediate concerns and begin to feel seen, heard, and secure. I want to hear YOUR story. You are unique and special. The most important aspect for me is that you feel free to be you ! My goal is to walk by your side.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I've lived a long life already. I recognize that each human being has special gifts and qualities. I believe that every person has the ability to use his/her strengths to create a life they want to live. I am here for you -- not to judge, only to show you the warmth and compassion you deserve. I speak Spanish fairly fluently and we can have sessions in English, Spanish, or Spanglish. I also like to laugh, so hopefully we can also have some fun.
