My name is Dr. Audrey King, I just completed my PhD in Counseling Supervision and Education, from Liberty University. I received my master's in counseling in 2010 from Spring Arbor University, in Michigan. In my practice I have worked with anxiety, depression, and trauma, in at-risk youth, adults, teens and children in foster care. I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past fourteen years. It’s helped many clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session, we'll start with brief introductions, and then dive into your specific challenges. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
Having worked with various situations such as crisis and trauma for the past 13 years, I've developed through the use of evidence-based practices for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.
