Greetings and welcome. My name is Dr. Elizabeth Brillon, DSW, LCSW, C-DBT, CCTP-II and I am an expert in managing anxieties and trauma. Life doesn't seem to work out the way we expect it to, does it? Do you ever feel like sometimes it is just too much to handle? When you pause to take a moment to think, are you pondering why your connections with others aren't allowing you to gain the elements you need to be at peace? This disharmony can be difficult to balance without support. I form partnerships with individuals to identify manifestations of trauma and develop appropriate tools for symptom management. Oftentimes, trauma also goes hand-in-hand with anxiety and depression. I work with committed and motivated learners on the path to move forward on their holistic wellness journey through incorporation of customized tools rooted in evidence-supported interventions. It can feel lonely when you feel overwhelmed by those things in life that you cannot control. You are deserving of peace, safety, and healing in the therapeutic setting. You can look no further if you reach out to me. To properly care for our individual selves, we must nurture both our physical and mental health. Join me for the partnership and we will journey forward collaboratively.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
With all new ventures, the wise take the time to take in information to guide the next steps and gradually advance forward in the safest way possible. The first session will be a time for us to become acquainted with one another, for us to communicate regarding session guidelines and procedures and for us to begin to develop the outline of a potential treatment plan. In the end, these are all just preliminary and may deviate in accordance with the individual client needs.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
As a licensed clinician, I have over fifteen years of experience in the field. I have worked with various populations across various settings. I am experienced in palliative care, behavioral health, rehabilitation, and trauma. As the Chair of the Violence Against Women and Their Children for the Council on Social Work Education Annual Program Meeting, I have experience with interpersonal violence, including childhood sexual abuse, across the age span. I am an authentic advocate for empowering clients to optimal well-being through resiliency and perseverance.
