Hey there! My name is Mary P. Jackson! I’m a mother, Nana, sister, auntie, daughter, and friend, so essentially, I’m every woman. I'm a Woman of Color who is committed to making therapy acessiable, not just to women but especially to women who look like me. I’m passionate about working with survivors of interpersonal violence, and sexual trauma and assisting women with managing everyday life stressors such as parenting, work, and relationships.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
There is no one-size-fits-all all approach to therapy. I believe in utilizing an eclectic approach so that your therapeutic journey is as unique as you are. During our first session, we'll identify the issues that you feel are most challenging to you currently and discuss coping skills, problem-solving,
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
In working with POC some of my greatest strengths are creating a safe and empathic environment, fostering open communication, and tailoring my eclectic approaches to meet your individual needs while destigmatizing therapy and being culturally affirming.
