With over 18 years of expertise as a trauma-focused therapist, I provide a compassionate and non-judgmental environment for healing and understanding. My approach includes offering a therapeutic, safe experience that fosters empowerment and resilience, tailored to resonate with and honor your individual journey, especially if you have felt overwhelmed or misunderstood by traditional therapy methods.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a trauma-informed therapist with specializations in trauma therapies: EMDR, IFS, Exposure Therapy (EP), TF-CBT, and Grief all with a person centered approach. I also do a sliding scale rate with those who are in need financially.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

Imagine a therapy that helps you understand the 'why' behind your relationships and emotions. In our sessions, we'll explore your foundational connections and how they shape your current interactions. It's like uncovering a personal blueprint that guides us to heal and strengthen our present and future relationships.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is like having a toolbox for your mind. We'll work together to identify and change the thought patterns that are holding you back. It's a practical, hands-on approach where you'll learn techniques to manage stress, anxiety, and depression, empowering you to transform challenges into stepping stones for relief and change.

EMDR

EMDR is a journey through your memories aimed at diminishing the distress they cause. Think of it as a way to 'detox' your mind from past traumas. Using gentle eye movements, we'll work to reprocess these memories, helping you find peace and move forward with renewed strength.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

In CPT, we'll tackle the troublesome thoughts that stem from traumatic experiences. It’s like re-scripting a story where you’re able to overcome and renew yourself. We’ll dissect and rebuild your understanding of past events, fostering a new perspective that leads to a liberated and empowered you.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS is like holding a meeting with different parts of yourself. Some are hurt, others protective, and some are just lost. In our sessions, we'll listen to these parts, understanding their roles and helping them work harmoniously, leading to a more balanced and integrated altruistic self. This therapy technique helps you to find the you that may be hidden because of past trauma.
