What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first meeting, I will need to check your ID/Driver's License which is required by the Licensing Board as part of the Patient Verification Policy Compliance. Please notify me if you need to start your session a few minutes later. If I am able, I will try to accommodate the meeting time or we may reset for the first available time. If you do not attend your session 15 minutes after the scheduled time, I will log off and may charge a no-show fee. Before inviting someone to your session, please let me know. I would need you to review, sign and send back a Release of Information for that person and that person also needs to sign and send back a consent for treatment. I will not be able to include your guest in your sessions until I have received all the necessary releases and consent for treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My counseling style is caring, interactive and proactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect and compassion. My therapeutic approach is eclectic; it combines different modalities and philosophies to fit the need of the person or couple receiving counseling. I believe in mutual collaboration between the patient and the therapist when developing and setting treatment goals. I like teaching patients how to gain confidence, self-awareness, and coping skills they could use for life. I also teach how to communicate needs to others as well as to use assertive language to explore resolutions to conflicts. As of now, I can only provide therapeutic support to members residing in the State of Florida. I currently work only with adults 21 and older.
