I’m Steven Frank. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), licensed in California and living in Seattle, Washington. The way the law works is that if I have a California license, I can live outside of California, but can only work with California residents. For that reason, all my work is performed online through telehealth. I see adults and senior adults in my practice and my work is with individuals. I’ve been licensed since 1983 but actually began to “grow” a private practice beginning in 1990. While most of my experience has been with clients dealing with depression and anxiety, over the last 4-5 years I’ve been more focused on the treatment for symptoms of trauma and abuse. I’ve been trained in EMDR (a specific treatment for trauma), and will use that method as needed, when appropriate, and with your understanding of the process, and consent. By the way, my first job experience (before beginning my schooling for the MFT license), was in the California State Hospital system as a psychiatric technician. I was a member of a hospital inpatient treatment team that treated people with severe mental disorders. This was excellent training for working with clients who are seeking help, but on an outpatient basis.

Hello there, I am Jamey. Do you feel like there are just not enough hours in the day, or that you are being pulled in a million different directions? Do you feel like you are struggling to keep up with your relationships, your work, or your health? Sometimes when this happens, we tend to blame the person in the mirror. Fortunately, I am here to help you get over that hump. I strive to help you manage anxiety and avoid burnout. Whether you are overwhelmed, having relationship issues, dealing with trauma, or cycles of anxiety and depression, I am here to help. If you are having trouble with your children, and are seeking input and new techniques, I would be glad to assist you. Seeking therapy can feel scary, but this is the first step towards making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I will meet you with empathy and compassion in a judgment-free zone, working with evidence-based techniques to help you overcome the hang-ups and habits holding you back. Let us work together!

My goal is to help the clients I work with overcome the perceived and real challenges they confront in their lives. I approach each new client as a unique human being with their own strengths and challenges, and strive to collaborate in moving forward in their lives. As a psychotherapist, I tend to be direct and upfront in my approach - relying heavily on psycho-education and my clinical experience to help clients develop new ways of seeing, understanding, and coping with their circumstances. I'm a hopeful therapist who believes in the process of therapy and the ability for us as human beings to continue to develop and continually renew ourselves as we move through life. I truly enjoy the work as a therapist and find it to be an honor to share in a client's experience. I work with most presentations within mental health including anxiety and anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, relationship and coupling challenges, parenting stress and challenges, OCD, and many others.

Good to meet you! Please, call me Annita. To begin with--therapy means something is "right" with you, as you listened to your heart asking to be heard by someone in a safe, non-judgmental place of acceptance. Now let me ask: anxiety or depression, histories or memories of childhood or adult traumatic events, grief and loss of a beloved family member, friend, or pet to whom you were closely connected, navigating chronic illness--have any of these challenges disrupted your life so it feels intolerable? Let me hear your heart--not with a stethoscope, but with listening to you. My 30+ years of previous career in nursing taught me that 'listening' to words from the heart is one of the most important aspects of a relationship--not just hearing the words but feeling the emotional impact as well. Having worked in adult and pediatric populations, I understand that all ages and populations deserve respect, kindness and compassion. I have worked as a mental health clinician with teens ages 16-24, with children 4 years old and up, young and older adults. From a nursing perspective, I am acutely aware of medical issues that often affect our mental health and need assessment by a physician to provide the best treatment, while I offer the skills that increase abilities to cope with those needs. I provide experiences in your session to help you realize your worth, build coping skills, regain confidence as well as compassion for all you have experienced in life, continue to grow through challenges, and progress toward the goal you desire.
