Hello, potential clients/patients! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who offers services to individuals, couples, and families. My focus is to create a safe and comfortable space where you can begin your path toward healing. I incorporate both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered techniques into the sessions, which will help you activate the therapist inside of you. Healing is a process that requires time, patience, and commitment. Don't be afraid to start this journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session, I assess for safety and provide clients/patients the opportunity to discuss their challenges. During the session, we will discuss the client's life/relationship history and goals for their counseling experience. I will provide an overview of my therapeutic style and assign their first homework assignment and a follow-up appointment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths as a therapist are shown through my ability to assess client's needs and provide the tools to meet their desired goals. Clients feel heard, safe and at ease with my authentic approach to the process. I work with many women of color who are looking for someone to assist with their unique and diverse needs.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

Provide clients with a psychodynamic assessment to provide a comprehensive overview of the root cause of their symptoms, behavior, and patterns.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Assess areas where the patient or client or patient can accept their challenges. The areas that are within their control to accept, we look at coping and self-soothing techniques. The areas that are out of their control and that they may not accept, we focus on helpful interventions and solution-focused model.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use this method to provide ways for the client to reframe or challenge negative thought patterns and/or maladaptive responses to stress and anxiety. I provide activities such as thought-stopping and putting thoughts on trial to address adverse symptoms.
