Life stressors are very high for many people these days. If you are seeking emotional support and help with processing your thoughts and feelings, feel free to reach out to me. I will focus on building a connection with you to understand the reasons for your suffering and work together to help you feel better. The majority of my clinical experience in the past 20 years has been within correctional settings treating both adults and teenagers. I am a clinical psychologist with an integrative approach. I focus on the clinical relationship and draw upon existential, person-centered, solutions-focus and cognitive-behavioral theories. I will help you identify areas of suffering, including maladaptive thought patterns and current life stressors to help you improve your overall well-being. Sometimes it helps to talk to someone besides your loved ones or friends, someone who will have a more objective and professional look at your situation/problems. These days, many people are said to be more isolated, lonely and anxious due to circumstances beyond their control. I understand and want you to know that you do not have to feel alone.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My goal as your therapist is to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and thereby assist you to better address your current problems and stressors. Practical strategies and problem solving skills are also used.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Cognitive behavioral therapy, relaxation techniques, and person-centered approaches.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

In the years of clinical work, I have been told that I am a good listener and make the client feel understood, whether the client suffers from a mood disorder, psychosis or something else. I have recently helped clients who suffer debilitating anxiety and phobias to start living their lives again. Additional strength is my work with adolescents and young adults, both of which I greatly enjoy.
