Hi, I am Cristina! I am eager to meet you to help you build stronger, healthier & more reliable habits & coping skills. I specialize in emotional eating behaviors triggered by stress, anxiety, etc. I have 6 years of experience in helping patients with weight management. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 14 years experience in mental health and over 20 years in the wellness field. I bring a mindfulness approach that focuses on non-judgment, compassion and identifying your strengths even when you may have trouble seeing them. I have a Masters of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina - Greensboro.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
We will get to know each other on our first session. Clients sometimes feel very vulnerable in therapy sessions and I want to make sure we are a good fit and that you feel comfortable. I will ask you what you hope to achieve, any goals you may already have or we can create them together. We will go over some of your history and decide best course of treatment.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
Creating an environment of safety and non-judgement where you can share your most difficult thoughts and feelings. Being with you as you uncover hurt and allow room for growth in ways that you may not have thought possible. Helping you see your goodness and how to use your strengths to tackle challenges. I empower client to believe in themselves!
