*Ofrezco terapia individual en español* You may have a desire to heal from painful experiences but need guidance on how to start. You may feel overwhelmed trying to manage life's ups and downs. Or maybe you are going through a big change in your life and find yourself struggling to manage it. Perhaps you are seeking to understand yourself better to be able to live more meaningful and fulfilled life experiences. If you can relate to any of these, you don't have to go through these challenges alone and I'd be glad to help. I'm a bilingual, licensed therapist in the State of Florida. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and moved to Miami, FL to pursue a career in mental health counseling. Throughout my career, I have found that I work and connect well with adult and young adult women that have been exposed to traumatic experiences and/or are currently struggling to manage life transitions, including, but not limited to relationship separations, loss of a loved one, loss of a job, and going to college.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, what challenges you have been facing, and what goals you are hoping to accomplish. This will allow me to understand how I can best help you achieve those goals and create an individualized treatment plan. I will also take a few minutes during this session to address any questions or concerns you may have about the process or about my approach.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My experience working with trauma survivors has solidified my belief in human resilience and in our ability to grow and seek meaning, despite suffering and adversity. I am a firm believer in the power of therapeutic alliance, which is why I aim to practice authenticity, empathy, and kindness, in my sessions, while assuming a supportive and guiding stance. I intend to be fully present and actively listen to my clients so that they leave sessions feeling heard. I have found that when clients feel heard, they feel encouraged to be open and vulnerable during sessions--two traits that are conducive to healing and growth.
