After graduating with my Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University, I was provided the opportunity to gain my experience at Nicklaus Childrens Hospital. I worked with a variety of age groups that exposed me to facilitate individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy and interventions. I also have over a decade of experience working in the fitness and wellness industry, which has influenced my therapy style, as I believe a healthy body leads to a healthy mind; therefore, activity and movement are highly encouraged and praised when working with me. I became a therapist mostly due to my interest in individuals and the recognition that everyone has their own story to tell. I believe each person is unique in their own way and we all have experiences that shape us into who we are today. I am an outgoing and nonjudgmental individual, which allowed me to make many positive relationships with a variety of different people growing up.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
During our initial session together, we will begin with brief introductions and slowly begin to uncover information and challenges that you're currently facing. This will allow me to create and provide a custom plan to work with you throughout future sessions.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
Asking for help can often be difficult to do. Whether you are seeking to process emotions, challenge negative thoughts and behaviors, learn more about yourself or learn to prevent unhealthy patterns from occurring in the first place - therapy can be an essential tool. I have helped individuals overcome numerous concerns including depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationship and/or interpersonal difficulties, grief and sudden life changes. I am here to support you through this journey of prioritizing yourself and your mental health.
