With a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and credits towards a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision, I focus heavily on ethics, education, and ensuring that all Clients are treated by the best fitted Clinician. I am an EMDR trained counselor and am skilled in trauma counseling, PTSD, depression, and panic disorders. I have spent the last 5 years treating and advocating for children in the foster care system and is knowledgeable in family systems and adoptive care. I am passionate about trauma and use my education and skills to assist my Clients in working towards a better life using inner skills and new skills we learn together to reach goals for an adaptive path.

A native of Houston, Texas, I was a member of Top Teens of America (sponsored by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority) Houston Chapter ranking 2nd Runner-up Ms. Top Teen and Honorable Mention for oratory in Top Teens of America statewide conference in her senior year in high school. I earned her Bachelor of Arts from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. I also earned a Master of Science from Texas A&M University – Commerce, Texas. I have worked in the field of substance abuse and mental health counseling since 1999 working with children placed in foster care, probationers, parents involved with CPS, referrals from the court system, and those seeking counseling for various needs such as anger, domestic violence, life skills, and parenting. I have been recognized and awarded as one of the “Top 30 Influential Women of Houston” in 2015. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and a National Board Certified Counselor. I am also a member of the Texas Counseling Association.

Hi this is Carol. I am a licensed independent clinical social worker in eight states. My career started in Pennsylvania where I attended Chestnut Hill College and received my Master's in Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy Option. It continued in upstate Pennsylvania and New York where I attended SUNY University of Buffalo and received my Master of Social Work Degree. I capped those off with a Psy.D. from Cal Southern University, Magnum Cum Laude 2012. I hold an LCSW in PA, VA, NC, TX, and LI. I hold an LISW-CP in South Carolina, and LICSW in RI and MA. I facilitate stress reduction meditations once weekly on an internet platform for Mindful Leaders. I am a certified AADC in South Carolina. I am trained in EMDR methods including their substance and pain control protocols. All licensures and certifications are current.
