Hi there! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker servicing mental health needs for over 10 years, graduated with my undergraduates in Psychology and Spanish, followed by my Master's of Science in Social Work, and ended with my Doctorate of Clinical Leadership in Social Work. I've previously worked with multi-ethnic children in foster group homes, adults in the Dallas area, with women, and most recently with active duty military personnel. I help people process and heal from trauma, which is a privilege for me, and I help people also deal with day to day life challenges brought on by mental health concerns in our lives.

Hello, and thank you for considering me to be your therapist! I am a bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Clinical Mental Health and Addictions Therapist, as well as a clinical supervisor in NC and Licensed Professional Counselor in VA. I have over 9 years of experience as a licensed therapist, and over 18 years of experience in the mental health field, in various capacities. Therapy is genuinely a love of mine, and I am very invested in walking alongside clients on their journey. My therapeutic approach is person-centered with an existential and humanistic focus. I treat trauma, complex trauma, depression, anxiety, other mood disorders, and addictions in adolescents and adults. I believe that people can change and grow to their fullest potential when given a safe space to explore what is creating limiting beliefs in their lives and holding them back from seeing the magic in life.

Hi, my name is Anna Lanier-Comar. I have been practicing in the mental health field for 17 years. I served in the Air Force Reserves for 8 years as a Mental Health Technician while earning my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I completed the requirements for Licensure while working at an inpatient Eating Disorder Facility in North Carolina. I have been practicing as a Licensed Therapist since 2017. Most of my professional experience is in treating Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar disorder, Borderline personality disorder and Eating disorders. I use a few different modalities in therapy. I work to help clients feel empowered over their human experience; good and bad. If you have not participated in therapy before it can seem a little daunting. During the first session, we will go over your relevant history and compile a list of goals you would like to accomplish while in therapy. In the following sessions, we will increase coping skills and strategies, along with awareness of your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Throughout therapy we will work to increase your resilience, confidence and adaptability to all life has to throw at you, as well as heal from the parts of your past that need your attention.
