I have over 20 years experience in the mental health field. I know that people are able to make changes in thoughts and feelings. I support wellness. The sessions you attend with me are for your total well-being. You can call them your well-being sessions. Each session you attend is like an investment in yourself. I provide examples, homework, and support resources in video and text.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
The first session is an introduction. I would like to know if you have participated in counseling before and if it was beneficial and what you have learned. I also would like to know what you would like to change. This session is also getting to know me and my getting to know you. It is a begining for a new understanding of who you are and how you function in the world. If you feel a good connection then we can move forward, if not, then you will continue to look for a counselor that works for you.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I am a wellness counselor, I subcribe to YOUR well-being, not to sickness. I believe you have the ability to make changes that will benefit you and your well-being. There will be times when a crash comes, or feeling overwhelmed seems to take over, but overall, you will know that you CAN move forward and that you really want to make a productive change.
