Hello! I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) based in Texas. I received my Masters degree from Amberton University and I have been practicing for just over 1 year. I help children and adolescents, adults, couples and seniors. I aim to help others who suffer from anxiety, self-esteem issues, depression and other mental health issues. Helping with life transitions, stress and life decisions is a main goal to help others to live their best possible life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will start with brief introductions and then a gradual transition to discussing specific issues that the client is dealing with. I will ask questions and allow the client to speak openly about their life and what they hope to accomplish with counseling. During this first session I will be able to get a better sense of how we can work together and develop a plan for treatment (if needed) in upcoming sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a counselor is my ability to listen and empathize. In working as a school counselor I have years of experience in working with not only school aged children and adolescents, but in also working with their parents and families. My ability to see many different perspectives and objectively help others determine their own next steps for appropriate resolution is one of my strongest skills.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This treatment method is used to help my clients focus on how their thoughts can affect their behavior and how to use positive feedback to encourage new behaviors

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

This treatment is used to help clients see in real terms and how their life can be positively changed by accepting the conditions and circumstances around them.

Couples Counseling

Couples will use several treatments to help open communication, identify and reframe issues and differences, and see each other with an empathetic viewpoint to build open-mindedness, tolerance and emotional acceptance within the relationship.
