Research has repeatedly shown that the quality of the therapist-client relationship is the most significant predictor of a positive outcome. My style is direct but compassionate, relaxed yet professional. I believe in a collaborative approach, where you actively participate in your therapeutic journey. Together, we will work to understand the ‘whys’ behind your choices, your patterns of negative thinking and behaviors, and the extent of their impact on your daily functioning.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

On our discovery call, I aspire to understand your motivations for seeking therapy, how it's influencing your life, your preferences in approach or style, and your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I take great joy in working with clients who are new to psychotherapy or have limited experience with the primary therapeutic styles I use. I understand how daunting it can be to start this journey, and I am here to provide the motivation and empowerment you need to navigate through any anxiety you may feel about the therapeutic process. I am also confident in my ability to educate and support you during any critical challenges you may be facing.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We work together as a team in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). We aim to set personal objectives, develop strategies, and track progress. I'm really passionate about assisting clients in improving their emotional intelligence and educating them about their mental health so they can take an active role in their treatment. Together, we'll practice evidence-based interventions to reframe negative thoughts, develop healthy behaviors, and gain practical skills.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a proven psychotherapy approach aimed at reducing the distress caused by traumatic memories. It is highly effective in treating childhood trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) but has also shown to be useful for addressing other mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and complicated grief. Through bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps the brain process traumatic memories and associated emotions, creating space for healing and progress.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an effective form of therapy that emphasizes accepting your thoughts and feelings, and then using your values to guide your actions. We will collaborate to release unhelpful thoughts, embrace difficult emotions, and live in a way that aligns with what's important to you.
