New to Grow
My name is Ana Drake and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois. I have been providing therapy in treatment of anxiety, depression, anger/stress management, body image issues, coping skills, self-esteem, cultural adaptation, etc. I completed my master's degree in mental health counseling at the University of Illinois-Springfield in 2017 and I was previously a licensed practicing therapist in Brazil before moving to the United States in 2008.
In your first session I will ask questions such as what brought you to therapy, your symptoms, and the history of your current issues. We will work to develop a treatment plan with goals.
As a therapist, I’m here to listen without judgment and to help you explore ways to find relief and hope. In our sessions, you’ll find a safe welcoming space where your feelings are respected and valued. Together, we’ll work through the layers of whatever is troubling you, uncovering tools and strengths you may not even realize you have.
People who constantly overthinking, feeling anxious, or being too hard on yourself? Many people I work with feel overwhelmed by racing thoughts, self-doubt, or the pressure to keep everything together while struggling internally. You may feel stuck in patterns of worry, self-criticism, or emotional exhaustion and wish you could find more balance and peace in your life. Therapy can help you regain clarity, calm, and confidence. Together, we will explore your thoughts and emotions, develop practical coping strategies, and build self-compassion so you can feel more in control and at peace in your daily life.
