About me

I help individuals navigate life’s challenges, heal from past experiences, and create meaningful change and empowerment. I specialize in working with addictions, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions, using a blend of evidence-based and humanistic approaches. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative space where you can explore your experiences, build resilience, and move toward the life you want to live.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where we will focus on getting to know you and your goals for therapy. I will ask questions to better understand your history, current challenges, and what you hope to achieve. Together, we’ll begin to identify priorities for our work and set the foundation for a collaborative and individualized approach. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and with a sense of what our work together will look like.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a provider are creating a space of hope, empowerment, and genuine connection. I am passionate about helping clients recognize their inner resilience and supporting them as they work toward meaningful change. I combine empathy, insight, and evidence-based strategies to guide clients through challenges with both compassion and clarity. I believe in each person’s capacity for growth and healing, and I am honored to walk alongside them on that journey.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve adults or teens who are navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and personal growth work. Many of the clients I work with are motivated to better understand themselves, break free from unhelpful patterns, improve self-esteem and create lasting change. I work especially well with individuals who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, and are seeking a supportive and collaborative space to heal, build resilience, and reconnect with their strengths.

My treatment methods

Schema Therapy

I use this approach to help clients understand deep-rooted patterns that may be contributing to current struggles. In my practice, I assist clients in identifying and healing maladaptive schemas developed from early life experiences. I blend cognitive, experiential, and behavioral techniques to promote emotional change, strengthen healthy coping strategies, and foster a more compassionate relationship with oneself.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into my practice to help clients develop psychological flexibility and live more meaningful lives. I use ACT by guiding clients to accept difficult emotions, identify their core values, and commit to actions that align with those values. I often incorporate cognitive defusion, and values clarification exercises to help clients move away from avoidance and toward purposeful living.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients identify and reframe negative thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and address behaviors that may be maintaining emotional distress. I take a collaborative and structured approach, often using reflective work and practical exercises to reinforce skills between sessions and empower clients to make lasting changes.

Humanistic

My practice is deeply informed by Humanistic Therapy principles, which emphasize the inherent worth and potential of each individual. I create a nonjudgmental, empathetic environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. By finding self-awareness and self-acceptance, I help clients connect to their authentic selves and support their journey toward personal growth and fulfillment.

EMDR

I utilize EMDR to help clients process and resolve distressing memories and experiences that may be contributing to current challenges. In my practice, EMDR provides a structured approach that uses bilateral stimulation—such as eye movements—to activate the brain’s natural healing processes. This method allows clients to reprocess traumatic or emotionally charged memories in a way that reduces their lingering impact. I incorporate EMDR to support emotional regulation, decrease distress, and foster a sense of safety and empowerment in moving forward.

I’ve only had one session so far but I have already booked the next one. I felt very comfortable with Lindsey and felt like she listened to me and was empathetic to my issues and helping me find a resolution.
