Hello and welcome to my practice! I believe that mind, body, and spirit are all interconnected. Mental health is not a destination, but a process. It's about how you drive, not where you are going. I am here as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, in practice since 2012, I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, life transitions, women's issues, and parenting. I also support persons of color experiencing systemic challenges. I am proud of you for taking the first step towards therapy. Change can be hard and taking this first step is not always easy. I aim to provide a safe, judgment free space to anyone looking for help and wanting positive change. We will address your thoughts and feelings at a pace that works best for you. My therapy style is supportive, reassuring, accepting, and genuine. In our therapeutic relationship, I will provide tools you need to reach your goals. You will do all the heavy lifting, but I will be here to support and encourage change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, clients can expect us both to give introductions. Then, I'll ask more specific questions to complete an assessment and discuss challenges and the reason for seeking treatment. The information shared will assist me in creating a plan tailored to your individual needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My experience in working with adults experiencing life challenges over the past 13 years has helped me to develop skills necessary to help you a.) identify roadblocks and b.) formulate an actionable plan to navigate and remove obstacles and c.) identify and celebrate successes.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to serve people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or in transition; along with those who are open to understanding themselves more deeply, even if they’re not sure where to start. Many of the people I help are dealing with things like: Anxiety, overthinking, or constant mental noise Life transitions (career changes, breakups, identity shifts) Feeling disconnected from themselves or others Burnout, stress, or difficulty balancing responsibilities Low motivation, self-doubt, or harsh inner criticism On a mindset level, you might be someone who: Reflects a lot, but sometimes gets trapped in your own thoughts Wants clarity, direction, or a stronger sense of purpose Values honesty and depth over surface-level advice May have tried to “figure things out alone” for a long time In terms of therapy-style goals, I’m especially helpful for people who want to: Understand patterns in their thinking, emotions, and behavior Build healthier coping strategies and emotional resilience Improve relationships and communication Develop self-awareness and confidence Create meaningful, sustainable change—not just quick fixes You don’t need to have everything clearly defined. If you just know something isn’t working and you want to explore it thoughtfully, that’s enough to begin. If that's you, I look forward to supporting you!

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize the following CBT methods to include cognitive restructuring by challenging negative thought patterns. Behavioral activation is the second CBT method utilize. This is done by encouraging clients in positive activities, which will improve mood overall. I also aim to empower clients to utilize mindfulness-based techniques, along with traditional CBT. The exposure therapy method is helpful in gradually confronting clients, feared situations, to reduce anxiety over time. Finally, I utilize problem-solving therapy consisting of focusing on improving practical, but effective coping strategies.

Motivational Interviewing

It is my goal to listen attentively to your needs and ensure that I create a safe space for you to share your innermost thoughts and feelings. I allow you to process difficulty or discomfort with change and explore feelings surrounding this. Together, we will set S-M-A-R-T goals (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely).

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I will help you learn and develop skills to manage your emotions, tolerate distress, improve interpersonal relationships, and reduce impulsive behaviors.

Supportive

I am supportive in my approach and respect all clients' autonomy and self-determination.
