New to Grow
Welcome! I am Rachael a licensed professional clinical counselor, based out of Ohio. My practice is your safe haven to explore, process, learn and create paths to your well-being and restore connectedness to you and your loved ones. I offer a breadth of knowledge, clinical skills, training, and expertise in your therapeutic journey as a clinician. I hold two master's degree in counseling, both with the focus on healing individuals, couples, and the family. Additionally, I am completing my doctrine in Community Counseling and Care with a specialty in traumatology, thereby able to also provide evidenced based trauma-informed care to you and your love ones suffering from trauma. This is your mental sanctity to be heard, supported, and empowered with respect, inviolable dignity, holistic value, and free from judgment.
Your first session will be approximately an hour long. The goal of this session will be for me to gain an accurate understanding of your suffering for clinical diagnosis and treatment needs. It will consist of learning more about you, your background and what brought you to therapy today. I will be asking you questions too, pertaining to your present needs and concerns as well as exploring your strengths, supportive care, and how you have coped past to present. This helps me map out the clinical picture of what you may need in your therapeutic journey and how I may better assist you in counseling.
I am your trusted entity. I am that active listener with a non judgemental stance to sit with you in your present condition. I have the ability and compassion to come alongside you and your loved ones with openness, dignity, and respect. I bring joy as well as humblesome. I provide a positive energy and knowledgeable insight into suffering from a wide range of brokenness. I am multicultured and multifaceted. I am not afraid to ask the tough questions and will meet you at your pace for change.
Come as you are, whether individually or with your loved ones for couple and family counseling. I will meet you where you are at in your personal suffering or situation with openness and compassion, ready to listen and be of assistance within my professional capacity. My request from you is to be understanding of the session time and hour. It is okay if your not ready or if you need to reschedule. Please provide me the courteous of a 24hr cancelation notice or if we need to adjust scheduling in your journey.

Treatment is a collaborative process, where you or you and your loved ones for couple and family counseling, come together and explore your needs for therapy. By utilizing an integrative approach, I may best help facilitate change, growth, strength, and success in your journey. Thus, I cherish a holistic approach.
By tailoring in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, you and I will explore your values and what is meaningful to you. This will help us restore your quality of life with a deeper understanding of who you are and what makes your journey unique. Most importantly, we will explore what it will take to live the life you deserve, free of the mental and emotional agony that has deprived you of living your life with peace and fulfillment.
In the life journey, at times we may bare roadblocks and experience areas that seem unbearable and hastening your quality of life. Therefore, I will integrate cognitive processing therapy. Cognitive Processing Therapy is designed to dive into the internal layers of roadblocks. With the application of this approach and the homework assigned with this type of therapeutic service, you will gain a better understanding of how these layers may be creating the roadblocks and preventing you from experiencing the right to breathe, think, or have mobility in life.
Anxiety, depression, and trauma can lead into unwanted thoughts that lead to filling more intense emotional pain, creating downward spiraling and crashing out with anger, fear, sleeplessness, and impairment. Thus, I apply cognitive behavioral approaches to challenge those negative thoughts. This will help facilitate healthier ways to think and respond behavior to life experiences, triggers, and stressors.
Specifically for couples and the marital unit, I incorporate modalities such as SYMBIS or Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts, Prepare-Enrich, Emotion-focused family, Solution-Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral strategies to enhance understanding, promote how to better listen, love, connect and communicate with you and your loved one. This service is designed to restore real-time togetherness and to teach you and your loved one how to walk in the strengths of your partnership.
