Wendy Jambro
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 13 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges, transitions, and personal growth. In my private practice, I offer a warm, thoughtfully supportive environment where clients can feel heard, understood, and valued. My approach is personalized and integrative, helping clients gain insight, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.
First session
Your first session will be a welcoming conversation focused on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll discuss your concerns, experiences, and goals, while giving you an opportunity to ask questions and become comfortable with the therapy process.
Strengths
I bring over 13 years of experience, a strong foundation in assessment and diagnosis, and a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to therapy. My practice is client-centered and grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with a focus on understanding each person’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals. I work collaboratively with clients to identify patterns of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be contributing to current challenges and develop practical strategies to support meaningful change. Together, we focus on building insight, emotional regulation, coping skills, resilience, and greater confidence in navigating life’s challenges.
Ideal clients
My ideal clients are individuals looking for a supportive, understanding space to work through life’s challenges and create positive change. You may be experiencing anxiety, stress, a life transition, relationship concerns, or simply feeling stuck. I welcome clients who are ready to explore their options, gain a better understanding of themselves, build healthy coping skills, and move forward with confidence.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is implemented to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Help to identify unhelpful patterns, develop healthier ways of thinking, and build practical coping skills to help you feel and function better.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I will integrate a person-centered approach by creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and respected. Together, we focus on your strengths, concerns, and goals while working at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Psychodynamic
Psychodynamic approach can be implemented to help clients understand how past experiences and relationship patterns may affect their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors today. We will explore these patterns to build self-awareness, gain insight, and support meaningful change.
Supportive
I use supportive therapy to provide a safe, encouraging space where clients feel heard and understood. Together, we’ll work through current challenges, build coping skills, and strengthen your confidence and ability to manage stress.
