(she/her)
Hello. I am a creative clinical social worker in practice since 2001 licensed in Tennessee and South Carolina. I have provided behavioral health services in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, partial program, and health care settings as well as a previous private practice and a medical school. I provide services to adult and geriatric clients only. I am trained in DBT, EMDR, MI, CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, WET, addictions, IFS, grief and loss, and body centered, somatic therapy interventions. If you have had difficulties due to trauma, addiction, anxiety, mood disorders, grief and loss, caregiving stress, and/or chronic health problems you are welcome in my practice. It is a safe space where you can find help, healing, and hope.
The first session in my practice is a chance for you to get to know me and for me to learn more about you and your most troubling symptoms. As time permits, we may touch on interventions and possible treatments that could help you. I will probably talk more during the first session than any future sessions as I want to learn more about you and your history.
My greatest strength is that I combine multiple approaches to help you achieve you feel better. However, I always want clients to have input and information (the most powerful concept I can give you) in order to make informed decisions about your care in my practice. We are a team; however, you are the driver, I will be in the passenger seat helping and guiding you to navigate to your best life.
My ideal client is age 21+ and seeking help with troubling symptoms related to trauma, grief and loss, and/or chronic health issues or life events. Coming to therapy does not mean there is always something diagnostically broken within you and most everyone can benefit from a few therapy sessions to learn new skills, to learn about their illness and how to manage it, or just to process life events.

I utilize an eclectic mix of approaches to help clients with troubling symptoms. I believe in patient centered, integrated care-treating patients holistically looking at mind, body, spirit, and soul with a gentle approach. No one in my practice is a number and each person's treatment is unique and based on the client's preference after my recommendations for best practice and evidence based treatment are made. In essence, we are a team working together to help you be able to cope and thrive.

Very sharp. I wish I didn’t interrupt so much. I feel like that hurts the flow of conversation. I’m going to try to not interrupt as much as I did today. She was very patient with me when I did that. I appreciate that. Looking forward to next week. Thank you.
