New to Grow
If you're looking for a partner in your treatment who will meet you where you are and make space for the messy parts, I may be a good fit for you! We'll focus on real-life, practical applications of struggles and breakthroughs. We'll always be working toward one of your identified goals so that therapy does not feel aimless or like a waste of resources. Perhaps you're seeking therapy services because you want more insight into relationships, circumstances, or your own mind. However you got here, there is space for you and all of your questions. My approach is to lead with compassion and curiosity. You'll sense my sincere care for my clients but you'll also learn that I won't shy away from tough subjects. For now, you've already taken the first step towards growth and that is something to celebrate!
In our first meeting, we'll start to get to know each other and I will explain what you can expect during our sessions. I'll ask you to share some of the circumstances that have brought you to therapy and what you're hoping to gain. You'll leave the session with a clear picture of where we're headed and the tone for future sessions.
I bring a non-judgmental, relaxed attitude to the therapeutic relationship. I believe that progress is not linear and that you may need different things on different days. It is important that you feel understood and for us to explore growth and discovery of new ideas together.
We may be a good fit if you're new to therapy or are open to trying new concepts that you have not tried before. I believe in working towards specific therapeutic goals that are determined in the first few sessions. We'll periodically reference these goals and discuss how you feel you're progressing. Of course, we can always shift our focus or try a different technique, but that is why it is so important to start with a clear vision of where we're headed.
