About me

Hello, and welcome. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with women ages 18 and older through individual therapy. I provide a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered as they navigate life’s challenges and personal growth. I work with concerns including anxiety, stress, trauma, grief, life transitions, burnout, self-esteem, and relationship difficulties. My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based therapies such as CBT, ACT, mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, psychoeducation, somatic and EMDR. I also value authenticity and connection in the therapeutic relationship. While therapy often involves deep emotional work, sessions can also include humor, warmth, and moments of lightness along the way.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, you can expect a supportive, calm, and nonjudgmental environment where you are encouraged to share at your own pace. We will spend time discussing what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and the goals you hope to work toward in counseling. I understand that starting therapy can feel vulnerable, so my approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on helping you feel comfortable, supported, and heard.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable, heard, and understood. I value building strong therapeutic relationships grounded in trust, authenticity, compassion, and collaboration, while also creating space for humor and lightness when appropriate.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with women ages 18 and older who are seeking individual therapy and are motivated to better understand themselves, improve emotional well-being, and create meaningful change in their lives. Many of the clients I work with are navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, burnout, self-esteem concerns, or feelings of being emotionally overwhelmed or stuck. I support clients who have a growth mindset or are open to developing one—individuals who may be ready to increase self-awareness, learn healthier coping strategies, process difficult experiences, and move toward greater balance and fulfillment.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful thought patterns and develop practical strategies to manage emotions, cope with challenges, and create meaningful change.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help clients make space for difficult thoughts and emotions while focusing on what matters most to them. Together, we build flexibility, self-awareness, and practical skills to move toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

Motivational Interviewing

I use motivational interviewing to help clients explore their own reasons for change without judgment or pressure. Through collaboration and thoughtful conversation, we identify strengths, build confidence, and support progress toward goals that feel meaningful to them.

EMDR

I use EMDR to help clients process distressing or traumatic experiences that may continue to affect their functionality. The approach supports the brain’s natural healing process while helping clients develop a greater sense of calm and emotional balance.

Somatic

I use somatic techniques to help clients develop greater awareness of the connection between their thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and nervous system responses. In sessions, I may incorporate grounding, mindful body awareness, breathwork, and noticing physical sensations associated with stress or emotional experiences.
