Hello, my name is Julie Phillips and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I believe in supporting each other and one way I can support you is through therapy. Whether you need to process a stressful event or need to vent I am here to support you. I strive to tailor your session to meet your needs. Some sessions may need to be more strictly focused with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, while other sessions are spent on learning a new coping skill such as mindfulness. Your session is about you and what may help you the most to resolve what issues you may have and to help you find your strength and empower you to keep moving forward. My aim is to make you, the client, feel comfortable in a judgement free zone. I want you to feel like you came to the right place, a warm inviting, calm, and empowering space where you can share what you feel you need to share.
The first session is about building rapport, connection, and helping me understand what brings you to therapy. It will include me asking questions so that I know the best way to help you. It will also include you being able to ask questions to clarify whatever you may need.

Women who have or are experincing trauma, PTSD, and other mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem. The ideal client is also someone who is willing to do the work that is discussed in therapy, someone who is willing to be open and share their concerns and issues. Another preference is someone that is a Christian or at least has belief in God.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is the bases for the structure of the session. What is thought effects the behavior and actions. Often thoughts that are negative or repetitive are not true statements. In the session we will look at these and work on making all thoughts true.
Christian Counseling
I am a Christian and if you are as well, including this in our session could enhance the session and your mental health.
Attachment-based
Attachment is what your relationship was like with your parents, as a child. The type of attachment that occurred effects your interactions with relationships now. It can be very helpful to understand what your attachment style is.
Compassion Focused
If you find yourself struggling with low self-esteem or confidence, compassion focused therapy might be what you need. This type of therapy focuses on your self-talk, self-care, and self-respect.
Grief Therapy
Have you lost someone that you deeply care about? Have you lost a relationship? Grief therapy is useful in helping you if someone you love has died, or a relationship has ended or other type of deep loss.

Julie has such a positive outlook and I especially love how she gave me the tools that I needed in order to heal. She was authentic, warm and solution oriented. She empowered me with the vocabulary to face my giant. I would recommend her to anyone!
