I am a Clinical Social Worker that focuses on helping people who are experiencing anxiety or depression. I have been in this field for more than 10 years and love watching people I work with feel like they have control over their lives again. I believe that the body and brain hold onto experiences after certain events and might get hung up or even stuck. In my assessments, I determine how these impacts can reveal themselves in our behaviors and the decisions that we make every day. I work to help identify where the mind and body have gotten hung up and I use an eclectic “whole person” approach to unraveling these barrier areas in life.
A first session, is a get to know you session. This session will discuss where you see challenges in your life that you want to change, and we will create goals to work on surrounding these. We will also discuss frequency and times that would be appropriate to meet based on the symptoms that are present.
I feel that I am able to identify that each person I work with unique and different. So I am quick to adjust and be flexible to meet each person where they are at. This allows me to provide services that actually make a difference to each person I work with. Have insurance that I don't cover here on Grow? I work with young adults through older adults that are ready for something in their life to change. My client’s goals have often been to develop a more positive outlook, better communication, and improved well-being overall. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about their life and are ready for a different path.

The human experience is hard, we utilize this approach to identify how we holistically make decisions and interpret our surroundings.

Recognizing how the mind and body cooperate together as a unit can be helpful in understanding symptoms that are present.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Utilizing mindfulness is helpful inside and outside of sessions to bring awareness to the present moment and what our minds and bodies are telling us.
