I’m Octavia Gallon, a licensed therapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I provide a supportive and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, develop healthier coping strategies, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves. My goal is to help you build confidence, improve emotional balance, and create meaningful changes that lead to a more fulfilling life.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session, we will take time to get to know one another and discuss what brought you to therapy. I will ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, and the goals you hope to achieve through therapy. This session is also an opportunity for you to share what has been challenging for you and ask any questions you may have about the therapy process. My goal is to create a supportive and comfortable space where you feel heard and understood. Together, we will begin identifying patterns, exploring your strengths, and discussing practical steps that can help you move toward the changes you would like to see in your life. By the end of the session, we will have a clearer understanding of your needs and begin developing a plan for how therapy can best support you.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel comfortable being open and honest about their experiences. I combine evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with trauma-informed care to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Clients often appreciate my collaborative and practical approach to therapy. I focus on helping individuals gain insight into patterns that may be holding them back while also providing concrete tools and coping strategies they can apply in their daily lives. My goal is to empower clients to build confidence, develop healthier thought patterns, and create meaningful changes that improve their overall well-being and relationships.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am best positioned to serve Individuals navigating symptoms of depression, symptoms of anxiety, and trauma whose goals are to shift their mindset, explore their childhood and up-brining to get to the center of their challenges, practice emotional regulation skills, understand themselves better, and manage their stress to show up better for themselves, their families, and those who depend on them.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the primary approach I use in my practice. This method focuses on helping clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I work with clients to identify negative or unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge cognitive distortions, and develop healthier perspectives. Through CBT, clients gain practical tools to manage anxiety, improve emotional regulation, strengthen self-esteem, and make meaningful behavioral changes that support their overall well-being.
Trauma Informed Care
I use a trauma-informed approach that recognizes the impact past experiences can have on a person’s emotional and psychological health. In my practice, I prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences at their own pace. Trauma-informed care focuses on building trust, increasing emotional safety, and helping clients develop coping skills that promote resilience and healing.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution-Focused Therapy helps clients focus on their strengths and identify practical steps toward the changes they want to see in their lives. Rather than focusing solely on problems, I guide clients in exploring their existing resources, resilience, and successes. This approach helps clients develop realistic goals, build confidence in their abilities, and create actionable strategies that support progress and personal growth.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-based techniques are used to help clients develop greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical responses. I incorporate mindfulness strategies such as grounding exercises, breath work, and present-moment awareness to help clients manage stress, reduce anxiety, and improve emotional regulation. These practices support clients in becoming more connected to their experiences and responding to challenges with greater clarity and balance.
