Howdy, Im a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in the state of Texas. I have been working in the counseling field since 2016 after graduating with my masters in clinical psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler. I work with adults of all ages to identify their current goals and desires concerning the changes they would like to see in their lives.
Initial sessions begin with introductions and starting the process of developing our working therapeutic relationship and beginning to identify your specific goals for treatment and the changes you wish to see in your life then collaboratively working to develop a treatment plan to guide our focus in later sessions to achieve your goals.
I am compassionate, patient, and empathetic to my clients. I strive to learn what their needs and wants are so that I can help them to determine their goals. I also believe my work history in the mental health field particularly in the public mental health sector often working with extremely complex cases and situations has prepared me to be ready and capable of effectively managing most cases that may present themselves in my career.
Ideally my clients are individuals are those who have the motivation and desire to create change in their lives but are struggling to identify the courses of action necessary to create the positive momentum in the direction they want their lives to go. I have experience working across a wide variety of mental health experiences including depression, anxiety, bipolar, psychotic disorders, and personality disorders. Individuals with any of these disorders can create positive change with the proper combination of assistance and willingness to put in the work to facilitate this change in their lives.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have been trained in and practice cognitive behavioral therapy for the last eight years since my time in graduate school and have been utilizing it in some fashion with almost all of my clients. I utilize CBT to help my clients identify and modify the patterns and habits in their thoughts and behaviors they may have developed in their lives and produce the desirable changes they wish to see.

I’ve never done any sort of therapy or mental health wellness but I appreciated Ben and how he went about our session.
