New to Grow
I specialize in helping children, adolescents & families, couples, adults of all ages, including the elderly, bereavement services as well first responders and veterans. I help individuals heal from trauma, depression, anxiety and mood disorders as well. My work helps individuals reconnect with their inner resilience & sense of purpose. I am also trained in trauma informed Yoga, which has influenced, my somatic approach to therapy.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I use a trauma-informed, somatic (body-based) approach, which means we focus not only on your thoughts and emotions, but also on how your experiences live in your body. You won't be expected to share everything at once. Instead, we move at a pace that feels comfortable to you. In our first session we will: Gently explore what brings you to therapy Focus on helping you feel grounded, safe, and supported begin building awareness of how stress and emotions show up in your body identify tools to help you feel more calm, present, and in control
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves after difficult life experiences. Trauma can live not only in our thoughts, but also nervous system and body. Because of this, my approach integrates evidence-based psychotherapy with somatic and restorative practices that help regulate the nervous system. With this being said, I bring a deeply compassionate, intuitive and integrative approach to therapy, blending clinical expertise with body-based healing practices to support meaningful, lasting, change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal client is someone who is ready for change - even if they are not sure where to start. They may feel high-functioning on the outside, but internally may feel: Overwhelmed, anxious or emotionally reactive disconnected from themselves or their body stuck in patterns they can't seem to break exhausted from "pushing through" life They are often the ones who: take care of everyone else first struggle to slow down or rest without guilt feel deeply but don't always know how to process those emotions have insight into their challenges, but haven't found lasting relief They may be: individuals navigating life transitions, stress or burn-out individuals healing from past trauma or difficult relationships caregivers, helpers, or professionals who give a lot to others clients who are curious about a more holistic, mind-body approach
