About me

Since becoming a therapist in 2018, I’ve utilized my own insights to assist individuals and couples in becoming aware of the different feelings and parts that exist within the mind and body. From here, we will become familiar with these parts, how to understand what is in within them, and how they may impact our interactions within relationships. After all, once we know what something means, we can empower ourselves to choose what to do with it in order to THRIVE

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Generally, a first session is one of the structured sessions. We get to know one another, open the floor for questions regarding approaches or previous experiences in therapy, new niche phrases, and therapeutic language, and a bit more information as to what brought you to therapy. Finally, at the end of the first session, we wrap up with the necessary ethical boundaries and areas of safety/concern we must be aware of when engaging in therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I feel what is unique about me as therapist is that I also do not disengage with parts of myself or experiences that make me a unique individual. I attempt to check in with myself before each session in order to know where I am to best meet you exactly where you are. Yes, I have degrees, coursework, and training. But I believe empathy around being a person and developing safety/ trust in relationships is the key foundational piece in this type of work.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I throughly enjoy providing support and reflection to adults navigating childhood wounds, trauma, relational distress, life transitions, identity issues, anxiety, depression, parenting struggles, loneliness, low self-worth, etc. Together, we will work to build awareness and a deeper understanding of oneself and relationships in order to achieve the ultimate goal of moving beyond simply surviving towards the client's idea of thriving.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

Safety and foundational mapping of relationships is formed far before a child can walk or talk. The foundation is created the moment a child opens their eyes, and how securely their needs are met. This then provides the framework for how we interact in relationships.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

A key component to building a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship is for me as a therapist to provide unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness to my client.

Somatic

Feelings not only occupy the mind but simultaneously show up in the body at times in unique ways. Thus, by utilizing a full holistic method, we explore how our body experiences, expresses, and holds emotion.
