You've built the career✔️ You've shown up for your family✔️ You've handled all the responsibilities, solved the problems, and kept moving forward even when things got heavy✔️ From the outside, it looks like you have it all together; but lately, something feels off. You feel stuck. Maybe your relationship isn't where you want it to be. Maybe anxiety has become YOUR constant companion. You may be navigating a divorce/breakup, a career change, or simply wondering how you got so far from the person you used to be. The one thing you have the most clarity on is that you've spent years taking care of everyone else, so you know you're capable and resilient. But you also know, you don't want to keep living like 'this.' I help high-achieving adults navigate relationship challenges, anxiety, and life transitions so they can reconnect with who they are, communicate more effectively, and move forward in life with more confidence.
During our first session, we'll explore what's bringing you to therapy, what you've already tried, and what meaningful progress would look like for you. Together we'll identify the patterns, stressors, and challenges contributing to your current situation and create clear goals for our work together. My clients often leave the first session feeling understood, relieved, and more hopeful about the path ahead.
I help high-achieving adults navigate anxiety, relationship challenges, divorce recovery, identity shifts, and major life transitions so they can communicate more effectively, build healthier relationships, and create a life that feels aligned with who they truly are.
I work best with adults who appear successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck on the inside. Many of my clients are navigating major life transitions such as divorce, the end of a relationship, career changes, launching a business, or redefining who they are after years of putting everyone else's needs first. They often struggle with anxiety, people-pleasing, communication challenges, boundaries, or a loss of identity. Together, we identify the patterns keeping you stuck, build practical tools for change, and help you reconnect with the version of yourself that feels confident, clear, and aligned.

Trauma Informed Care
I use a trauma informed approach, recognizing how past experiences, especially those involving broken trust or emotional neglect can shape the way you think, feel and connect with others. With six years experience and and certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional, I help clients work through these patterns at a pace that is grounded and manageable. I believe many trauma responses stem from attachment disruptions whether in early life or adulthood.
Faith based therapy
I offer faith-based counseling for clients who want to include their spiritual beliefs in the healing process. I believe that honoring your values and faith can lead to a more meaningful, tailored, and authentic experience. Spirituality can be a powerful source of strength, insight, and clarity—and it deserves space in your journey if it matters to you.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is an evidence-based approach that I have used over the past six years, that focus on the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. When we identify unhelpful patterns in how you think about yourself or situations, you can begin to make lasting changes in how you feel and act.
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
Cognitive Processing Therapy is also an evidence based approach grounded in CBT that is a manualized time/session limited approach that focuses on thoughts that keep you stuck in negative emotions and unhelpful behaviors. Similarly to CBT the goal is to identify unhelpful patterns in how you think about yourself or your experiences, so you can begin to make lasting changes in how you think, feel and act.
EMDR
I’ve used EMDR for the past three years to help clients heal from distressing and overwhelming experiences. EMDR works by engaging the mind-body connection to reduce emotional intensity and calm the nervous system. It can be especially helpful for trauma, anxiety, and other stuck emotional patterns.

I liked being able to talk and just share some experiences and being able to crack a joke every now and then with a smile appearing on both our faces. I also liked being kept on track if anything went on a tangent for too long. She did not make me feel like it was my fault that it got off track and just let me share the context if I felt it was necessary.

Joyce has been amazing to work with. She is very intentional about her approach to engagement, rapport building, the therapeutic model she uses, and overall case management in identification of resources for her client. I have struggled finding a therapist who was a good fit for years, and I am overjoyed to have found a therapist who comes with a wealth of knowledge and experiences that contributes to an empowering dynamic.

Joyce could tell I was in stress today. This was my first appointment. She allowed me to talk. I have been a low point and today's session gain me a hope that I can create a vision for my life even though financially, mentally and physically I'm broke/broken. I would like to meet with again, but right now my finances are being depleted. I hope she is still available one I have income.
